A child from a small town in Romania inspires entire generations. The Yellow Tie tells the story of Sergiu Celibidache, the conductor who transformed discipline, freedom, and the pursuit of perfection into a way of life.

The film, directed by Serge Ioan Celebidachi, the master's son, captures the journey of a man who lived intensely every choice. From the turbulent years of war to the great stages of the world, the story shows how hard it is to remain faithful to your beliefs when everything pushes you towards compromise.

The cast brings together big names from international cinema, such as John Malkovich and Sean Bean, alongside Romanian actors who bring emotion and authenticity to every moment. The filming in Bucharest, reproducing his activity around the world for 7 decades, offers a broad picture of a life lived at maximum intensity.

The Yellow Tie is a production of Oblique Media, made in co-production with Safe Frame, Avanpost Media, Frame Film, and Frame Film Illustrious Studio, realized with the support of the Government of Romania through the program run by the Office of Film and Cultural Investment and the National Center of Cinematography.
