The Bucharest International Jazz Competition (BIJC) kicked off on July 4, bringing together bands from 14 countries and featuring a variety of jazz styles. Until 12 July, Bucharest becomes the world jazz center, with live concerts, competitions and workshops. Director Luigi Gageos underlines the importance of the event in promoting Romanian and international jazz, inviting the public to discover the magic of this music. BIJC is co-financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration.
