Nicușor Dan emphasized the importance of the meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin for Europe, especially for the countries in the East. Although he hoped for a ceasefire in Ukraine, he was pessimistic given Russia's actions. The president insisted on the need to maintain economic pressure on Moscow and support for Ukraine, stressing that without this help Russia could become a direct threat to Romania.
