NASA has announced the completion of the Nancy Grace Roman space telescope, scheduled for launch in September 2026.

This revolutionary telescope, named after the first head of the agency's astronomy department, Dr. Nancy Grace Roman, promises to provide essential data about exoplanets, black holes, and the structure of the Universe.

With two cameras offering a field of view approximately 100 times larger than Hubble, Roman will be able to map the sky up to 200 times faster and process data thousands of times quicker.

The telescope will generate approximately 1.4 terabytes of data per day, with the potential to identify over 100,000 distant worlds and billions of galaxies in the first five years of its mission.

NASA officials emphasize that the most significant discoveries could be completely unexpected, opening new questions for future missions.
