A tragic aviation accident occurred at Statesville Regional Airport in North Carolina, where former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, along with his wife Cristina, daughter Emma, and son Ryder, were among the seven people killed. Witnesses confirmed that Biffle was on board the plane, which took off shortly before the crash.
The aircraft, a Cessna C550, crashed around 10:20 AM local time and was already engulfed in flames upon the arrival of emergency crews. Local authorities confirmed the existence of victims but did not provide further details. The airport will remain closed until the completion of the clearance operations, and the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board has sent a team of investigators to look into the circumstances of the accident.
