Toni Petrea, former head coach at FCSB, has been appointed as Filipe Coelho's assistant at Universitatea Craiova. Petrea, at the age of 50, has had a notable career, including two terms as head coach at FCSB, where he won the last Romanian Cup in 2020. He was also Laurențiu Reghecampf's assistant at FCSB during the periods 2012-2014 and 2015-2017. Petrea returns to coaching after a break of over two years, his last experience being at Universitatea Cluj, where he was head coach for only six matches. In his new role, he will collaborate with a staff consisting of Daniel Tudor, Bogdan Merișanu, and a physical trainer from Portugal. This appointment marks an important change in the coaching team of Universitatea Craiova.
