At the Under 19 World Rowing Championships in Trakai, Lithuania, the women's double sculls crew of Teodora Lehaci and Denisa Mihaela Vasilică won the gold medal. Also, the women's quadruple sculls, composed of Ana-Maria Bordanc, Alexandra Daria Crăciun, Marina Ariana Balint and Jessica Popescu, finished 4th. In the women's quadruple sculls, the crew of Anca Andreea Culidiuc, Daria-Elena Maximiuc, Sonia Teodora Biță and Stejara Olariu placed fifth.
