The organizers of Roland Garros have announced the schedule for Friday, when Sorana Cîrstea will play on court 14 against the Argentine Solana Sierra.
The match, in which Cîrstea is the 18th seed and starts as a strong favorite, will begin after the confrontation between Thiago Tirante and Pablo Carreno-Busta, scheduled to start at 12:00. Thus, Sorana's match could start around 15:00.
Good news for Cîrstea is that, in the event she faces and defeats Sierra, she will not encounter Elena Rybakina, the Australian Open champion, who was surprisingly eliminated in the second round by Yuliia Starodubtseva. Cîrstea advanced in the previous round against Eva Lys, with a convincing score of 6-3, 6-0.
Roland Garros 2026 will take place between May 24 and June 7, with total prizes of 61.723 million dollars, of which 22,580,000 euros for women. The tournament can be watched on Eurosport and HBO Max.
