Simona Halep announced that she will participate in the WTA Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, without initially specifying in what capacity. American journalists later revealed that Halep will be an ambassador for the WTA Finals, considering that she withdrew from professional activity at the beginning of this year. The former world number one has participated in this tournament five times, with her best performance in 2014, when she reached the final.

Recently, Kazakh Elena Rybakina also qualified for the WTA Finals, joining other top players such as Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, and Coco Gauff. The tournament promises to be a special event, bringing together the best tennis players.
