Daria Asaftei, Darius Coman, and Denis Popescu qualified for the semifinals at the European Swimming Championship, setting national records.

At the European Short Course Swimming Championships in Lublin, Romanian swimmers had remarkable performances. Daria Asaftei set a new national record in the women's 200m breaststroke, with a time of 2:21.50 min., valid for the categories 16, 17, 18, and +19 years, and qualified for the semifinals with the third time from the heats. Darius Coman achieved a time of 2:05.12 min. in the men's 200m breaststroke, qualifying for the semifinals with the fifth time.


Denis Popescu recorded 50.89 s in the men's 100m backstroke, also advancing to the semifinals. Additionally, Tudor Iordache set a new national record at 17 years old in the 100m backstroke, with a time of 51.76 s. This day was a successful one for the Romanian swimmers, showcasing their skills on the international stage.
