Daria Asaftei set a new national record in the women's 200m breaststroke, with a time of 2:21.50 min., valid for the categories 16, 17, 18, and +19 years, and qualified for the semifinals with the third time from the heats. Darius Coman achieved a time of 2:05.12 min. in the men's 200m breaststroke, qualifying for the semifinals with the fifth time.
Denis Popescu recorded 50.89 s in the men's 100m backstroke, also advancing to the semifinals. Additionally, Tudor Iordache set a new national record at 17 years old in the 100m backstroke, with a time of 51.76 s. This day was a successful one for the Romanian swimmers, showcasing their skills on the international stage.
