Gabriela Ruse, ranked 67th WTA, will face a tough challenge in her match against 15th seed Daria Kasatkina. Sorana Cîrstea, ranked 112 WTA, will play Argentina's Solana Sierra and Jaqueline Cristian, ranked 50 WTA, will face American Danielle Collins. Also, Emma Răducanu, ranked 35th WTA, will face a qualifier. WTA leader Arina Sabalenka and world No. 2 Iga Swiatek are also scheduled to play in the opening round.
