Simona Radiș and Magdalena Rusu dominated the A final of the women's double sculls event, winning the gold medal for Romania at the World Rowing Championship in Shanghai. With a time of 7 minutes and 8 seconds, the Romanian crew finished with a considerable lead over Italy, which took second place. Romania is participating with 12 crews in the competition, including in the mixed events, and still has two more finals underway.
