With two victories under their belt, Romania thus secures qualification for the main groups, ahead of the match against Denmark, scheduled for National Day. The Romanian players had a remarkable performance, with Ostase and Grozav each scoring 8 goals. The atmosphere was lively thanks to the Romanian fans, however, coach Ovidiu Mihăilă protested against the refereeing of the German brothers Thiyagarajah, being sanctioned with a temporary dismissal.

In the first match, Romania defeated Croatia 33-24. The tournament runs until December 14, and Romania aims to place in the top 10.
