Bulgaria equalized in the second period through Simona Asparuhova, in the 23:03 minute. However, Romania decided the fate of the match in the third period, with goals from Orsolya Fehér (41:01) and Edit Szekeres (42:25 and 52:18), bringing the score to 4-1. The last goal was scored by Anna Vitos in the 59:49 minute, after Bulgaria pulled the goalkeeper for a final attack.
In another match, Turkey defeated Serbia 4-2. Romania, which finished in fourth place in the previous edition, is now preparing for the confrontation with Turkey, scheduled for Tuesday at 13:30. Division III/Group A is the sixth world ranking tier in ice hockey competition.
