The interim Minister of Defense has stated the conditions under which Steaua Bucharest can be promoted to the first division.

Radu Miruță, the interim Minister of Defense, stated that the football team Steaua Bucharest can only reach the first league if two conditions are met: the minister's desire and the modification of the law. In a press conference, Miruță emphasized that, although he wishes for promotion, an interim government cannot modify the necessary legislation.

He explained that, although he could declare that Steaua has met the legal conditions through a non-profit association, this would prevent the ministry from allocating funds or providing facilities to the club. One solution would be to amend the law to allow the establishment of a commercial company to collaborate with investors. Miruță refused to believe that Steaua will remain stuck in the second league in the long term.
