Petrolul Ploiești is in a difficult financial situation, with debts of approximately 6 million euros, according to statements from president Claudiu Tudor. Although the amount is significant, the club's management is making efforts to gradually pay off these obligations, keeping the players' salaries up to date. Tudor emphasized that, despite the financial problems, most players are paid, which contributes to the team's stability. Currently, Petrolul is in 13th place in the Romanian Superliga, having 20 points from 21 matches, and is fighting to avoid relegation, being only 9 points away from the last place. The club is preparing for the licensing in March, when the debts will be officially published.
