Ons Jabeur, former world number two, announced on Instagram that she is expecting her first child and will take an extended break from professional tennis. At 31 years old, Jabeur, who is ranked 79th in the world, has decided to focus on her family life, expecting to give birth to a baby boy in April.

The Tunisian player, who has won five WTA singles titles, has spoken openly about the challenges related to depression caused by the exhausting schedule on the professional circuit. Her last match was at Wimbledon in June, where she retired in the first round. At Wimbledon, she also played two finals, but without success.
