The score was opened by Antonio Nusa in the 39th minute, marking his tenth goal in his international career. The Ivory Coast equalized in the 74th minute through Amad Diallo, but Norway regained the lead in the 86th minute when Erling Haaland scored the decisive goal, making a crucial contribution at key moments of the match. With this goal, Haaland reached five goals in the tournament, placing him second in the top scorers' ranking.

Additionally, Franck Kessié became the player with the most caps in the history of the Ivory Coast, surpassing Didier Drogba.
