Nine Romanian athletes have been nominated in the "Top 10 Balkan Athletes in 2024" survey.

The nine Romanian athletes were nominated by Bulgarian news agency BTA. Of the nine Romanians, seven are rowers, the list being completed by swimmer David Popovici, Olympic and European champion in the 200 m freestyle, European champion and Olympic bronze medalist in the 100 m freestyle, and weightlifter Mihaela Cambei, Olympic vice-champion in the cat. 49 kg and European champion, with continental record in total.
