The confrontation revisits the concept of the 1973 match between Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs, considered essential in promoting women's tennis and in the evolution of professional sports.

The original duel, held in Houston and watched by approximately 90 million viewers, was decisively won by King at 29 years old, after Riggs – 55 years old at the time – had previously defeated Margaret Court.

The organizers decided that Aryna Sabalenka's court would be 9% smaller than Kyrgios's.

The decision was made after studies showed that female players move, on average, 9% slower than players on the ATP circuit. Both will have only one serve available.

The year-end tennis match is scheduled for Sunday at 18:00 and can be seen on Digi Sport 1.
