The New York Knicks have qualified for the NBA finals for the first time since 1999, after a victory of 130-93 against Cleveland. New York swept the Cavaliers 4-0 in the Eastern Conference finals, played in a best-of-seven format, and the Knicks, who won their only NBA titles in 1970 and 1973, will play for the trophy starting June 3.
The opponent will be the winner between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs from the Western Conference, a series that is currently tied, 2-2, before game 5.
