The head coach of the Romanian national team, Mircea Lucescu, will continue to lead the team in the qualifying play-off for the World Cup, after receiving a favorable medical opinion following investigations carried out at a clinic in Belgium.
The Romanian Football Federation has confirmed his presence on the technical bench, emphasizing the importance of his experience during this crucial period. Lucescu stated that he will focus on preparing the team for the play-off matches, having confidence in the potential of his players. Romania must face Turkey on March 26 and, in the event of a victory, will play against the winner of the Slovakia-Kosovo duel on March 31. If they qualify, Romania will face teams from the USA, Paraguay, and Australia at the final tournament. Mircea Lucescu has an impressive record, with 35 trophies won in his coaching career.
