Doctors were called urgently to the Mogoșoaia base, where the national team of Romania is training, after coach Mircea Lucescu reportedly collapsed during the camp. Two ambulances were sent to the scene, and initially, a call was made to 112 for a possible cardiorespiratory arrest. Later, the doctors concluded that it was not a heart attack, and Lucescu recovered. At the family's request, he will be transported to the University Hospital for further investigations. The friendly match between Romania and Slovakia is scheduled for Tuesday at 21:45, with both teams missing out on qualification for the 2026 World Cup. The last meeting between the two national teams took place at EURO 2024, ending in a draw, score 1-1.
