Daniil Medvedev ended an impressive streak of 16 consecutive victories by Carlos Alcaraz, thus qualifying for the final at Indian Wells, where he will face Jannik Sinner. Medvedev, who has lost the last four head-to-head matches against Alcaraz, managed to find his form again, having already won titles in Brisbane and Dubai this year. If he wins the final, he could rise to 9th place in the ATP rankings. In the other semifinal, Sinner, the 2nd seed, easily defeated Alexander Zverev, the 4th seed, with 6-2, 6-4, advancing to his first final at Indian Wells. In their head-to-head matches, Sinner leads 8-7, having the advantage of the last victory at the 2022 ATP Finals.
