Manchester City defeated Brighton 4-0 to move to within a point of leaders Arsenal with a game in hand.

Kevin de Bruyne's superb header in the 17th minute opened the scoring. Phil Foden scored the second goal from a free-kick and then doubled his tally, taking advantage of defensive errors to put City 3-0 up at half-time. Julian Alvarez completed the scoring for City in the second half after a good move by full-back Kyle Walker.
