Jordi Alba, currently at Inter Miami, will retire at the end of the season.

The announcement marks a change of direction for Alba, who in May signed an extension of the contract that would have kept him in Miami until the end of the 2027 season. However, now, the experienced defender will end his career no later than the MLS Cup final in 2025. Alba, at the age of 36, made the announcement on Instagram, stating that he has decided to end his professional career "with full conviction, with peace, and with happiness." Sergio Busquets will also retire at the end of the season.
