The Kenyan John Korir won the Valencia marathon. Joyciline Jepkosgei triumphed in the women's category.

John Korir, already a winner of the marathons in Chicago and Boston, secured victory at the Valencia marathon, finishing the race in 2h2'24''. He was followed by the German Amanal Petros, who finished with a time of 2h4'3'', and the Norwegian Awet Kibrab, with 2h4'25''.

In the women's category, Kenyan Joyciline Jepkosgei won with a time of 2h14'0'', surpassing her own record at this distance by over 2 seconds. Jepkosgei managed to outpace the 2021 Olympic champion and the newly crowned world champion, Peres Jepchirchir, who finished in second place with 2h14'43''.
