Jenson Button, at the age of 45 and former Formula 1 world champion in 2009, announced that he will retire from motorsport after the eight-hour race in Bahrain, which will take place this weekend. Button, who retired from Formula 1 in 2016, has competed in various motorsport categories, including endurance racing and rally-cross. He stated that this will be his last competition and emphasized that he loves the Bahrain circuit. Button mentioned that, having two young children, he feels he has lost precious time in the last two years and that it is not fair to continue competing without having the necessary time for family.
