Chivas striker and Mexican international Javier Hernandez has been sanctioned by the Mexican Football Federation for comments deemed sexist. In a post on TikTok, he expressed views promoting gender stereotypes, provoking negative reactions, including from the Mexican president. The FMF decided to fine and warn him and the club dissociated itself from his statements. The criticism highlights the need to recognize gender equality in society.
