The Romanian athlete, ranked 33rd in the world rankings, had a solid performance, thus advancing in the competition. On the same day, Cristian learned her opponent for the next round, which is none other than Aryna Sabalenka, the WTA leader. Sabalenka defeated Peyton Stearns in two sets, with a score of 7-5, 6-3, in a match that lasted one hour and 36 minutes. The duel between Jaqueline Cristian and Aryna Sabalenka is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, and will start no earlier than 12:00 PM (Romanian time), marking a major challenge for Cristian against one of the best players of the moment.
