World number two, Jannik Sinner, managed to defeat Daniil Medvedev 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (7-4) on Sunday, thus winning his first ATP Masters 1000 trophy at Indian Wells.
Medvedev, who lost the finals at Indian Wells to Alcaraz in 2023 and 2024, missed the chance to become only the second player to defeat both Alcaraz and Sinner in the same tournament.
