The Iran selector criticized the treatment of his team at the World Cup: "We are the most oppressed team"

Amir Ghalenoei, the head coach of the Iranian national team, expressed dissatisfaction with the difficulties faced by his team at the World Cup, after the 2-2 draw with New Zealand, held on Monday in Los Angeles. Ghalenoei denounced a "logistical disaster," highlighting the problems caused by the war with the United States, which led to visa refusals for about fifteen members of the delegation.

The team had to move to Mexico at the last minute, which complicated preparations. The coach emphasized that the Iranian national team is the "most oppressed" in international history, mentioning the absence of the federation president and other officials.

Although the team showed fighting spirit on the field, Ghalenoei acknowledged that the situation is becoming increasingly difficult. Forward Mehdi Taremi added that players are facing a lot of stress and need more support, calling for an improvement in the conditions of participation.
