Hakim Ziyech, former player of Chelsea, has signed a contract with Wydad Casablanca, a team from Morocco, until 2027, with the option to extend. This move comes three weeks after his transfer to CFR Cluj failed. The club's president, Hicham Ait Mena, stated that negotiations went well and that Ziyech wanted to play in his home country, despite attractive offers from abroad.
At Wydad Casablanca, Ziyech will have an annual salary of 2 million euros. His career includes major trophies, such as the Champions League with Chelsea in the 2020/2021 season, and before joining Chelsea, he played for Ajax, Galatasaray, and Al-Duhail.
