The Technical Commission of the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) met on April 3 to discuss the position of head coach of the national team, which became vacant after the expiration of Mircea Lucescu's mandate. During the meeting, Gică Hagi was unanimously proposed by all 13 voting members, thus becoming the favorite to take over the team's leadership. Although Hagi was voted unanimously, other names, such as Edward Iordănescu, were also brought up in discussions. The proposals will be presented to the FRF Executive Committee on April 8, and the selection process will continue according to statutory steps, including consulting specialists from the Technical Commission. The meeting was also attended by vice-presidents Aurel Țicleanu and Lucian Burchel, along with secretary Răzvan Rotaru. Members without voting rights, such as Vlad Munteanu, Andrei Vochin, and Felix Grigore, were present but did not have a decision-making role. The news is being updated.
