Former tennis player Arantxa Sanchez Vicario was given a two-year suspended prison sentence and her ex-husband Josep Santacana three years and three months suspended.

The sentence was handed down by the President of the Criminal Court of Barcelona, who convicted the two men of hiding their assets to avoid paying a debt to the Bank of Luxembourg. Sanchez Vicario had cooperated with the authorities, for which his sentence was suspended, while Santacana will serve his sentence.
