FIFA has announced the launch of the FIFA Peace Prize, which will be awarded during the draw for the World Cup, scheduled for December 5 in Washington.

The FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, emphasized the importance of recognizing exceptional efforts for peace in an increasingly unstable world. The awards will be given annually, in the name of fans from around the world, to honor the contributions of those who fight to end conflicts and promote unity.

Infantino also recently had a connection with President Donald Trump, who was overlooked for the Nobel Peace Prize, despite support from several leaders. FIFA has also involved Ivanka Trump in the board of a partially funded educational project from ticket sales for the 2026 World Cup.
