Victor Montagliani, the vice president of FIFA, emphasized that FIFA has the authority to decide on the locations of the matches for the 2026 World Cup, contrary to the statements of the President of the USA, Donald Trump, who suggested moving matches from cities like Seattle and San Francisco if they are not considered safe. Montagliani reaffirmed that football is more important than any political leader and that decisions related to the tournament are within FIFA's jurisdiction.
