Farul Constanța achieved an important victory against Rapid București, with a score of 3-1, in a match played in Ovidiu, in the 27th round of the football Superliga. Alexandru Ișfan opened the scoring for the hosts in the 19th minute, and Andrei Borza equalized for Rapid in the 40th minute. Farul went into halftime with the lead, thanks to a penalty converted by Denis Alibec in the 45+5 minute, after a foul on Gustavo Marins.

In the second half, Ionuț Vână scored for 3-1 in the 53rd minute. Farul had chances and hit the post in the first half, and the match was interrupted in the 89th minute due to discriminatory chants. With this victory, Farul climbed to 11th place in the standings, having 37 points, while Rapid dropped to 3rd place, with 49 points.
