The British player Emma Răducanu, at the age of 22, has withdrawn from the last two tournaments of the year, scheduled in Tokyo and Hong Kong, due to health issues she has been facing for 10 days. Răducanu decided to return home for recovery before starting preparations for the 2026 season, which will include coach Francisco Roig, with whom she will collaborate again. She faced difficulties during the match in Wuhan, where she needed medical assistance, and subsequently lost at the Ningbo Open.
Although she had an encouraging season, rising into the top 30 in the world, Răducanu finished the year with three consecutive defeats. She managed to win 28 matches this year, having notable performances at the Miami Open and reaching the quarter-finals at the WTA 1000 tournament.
