Edin Dzeko, at the age of 39, has signed a one-year contract with Fiorentina, but has failed to impress, having zero goals in Serie A and only two in the Conference League. The bottom-placed team in Serie A, Fiorentina, may part ways with Dzeko this winter. Genoa has started negotiations to bring the striker, but is facing competition from Cagliari, which is looking for a replacement for the severely injured Andrea Belotti. Both teams are in discussions with Dzeko, who earns nearly two million euros a year at Fiorentina.
