The son of the famous coach Carlo Ancelotti, Davide has had a varied career, serving as an assistant coach at Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton, and Real Madrid, as well as with the Brazilian national team. His first experience as a head coach was at Botafogo, where he achieved 15 wins, 10 draws, and 8 losses in five months. The president of Lille, Olivier Létang, praised Ancelotti's professionalism and vision, emphasizing that he has all the necessary qualities to develop the club's sports project. Lille finished third in Ligue 1 and will participate in the Champions League.
