Dario Vitale, aged 43, becomes the first creative director from outside the Armani family. He will oversee Emporio Armani, the company’s secondary and more affordable line, as well as the Giorgio Armani accessories division.
Vitale worked at Miu Miu for a long time and was Versace’s creative director for nine months in 2025. His tenure at Versace ended after Prada acquired the brand. At Miu Miu, the designer helped boost sales during a difficult period for the luxury industry.
Silvana Armani, granddaughter of founder Giorgio Armani, will continue to lead the design of the women’s collections, while Leo Dell’Orco will oversee the men’s line. The two described Emporio Armani as a brand built on freedom, experimentation, and energy.
