The Dior fashion house, under the artistic direction of Northern Irish designer Jonathan Anderson, presented its women’s spring-summer 2027 collection in Paris on Tuesday, inspired by the romantic and folk aesthetic of the 1970s. The show took place in the Tuileries Gardens, on the second day of Fashion Week dedicated to women’s collections.
The collection marks a visible departure from the traditional codes of the Parisian house. The runway featured yellow crepe miniskirts, flamenco trousers with ruffles, black sweaters worn loosely around the waist and oversized tweed blouses, a material more commonly associated with English style.
Metallic-look flared trousers, fringed handbags, hair accessories and feather-adorned garments completed the folk direction of the show. The striped shirt, one of Anderson’s signature pieces, was paired with a floral skirt in a dialogue between the worlds of JW Anderson and Dior’s identity.
Rihanna, Rosalia, Jennifer Lawrence and Jisoo attended the event, drawing hundreds of fans to Place de la Concorde. The invitations, shaped like Chinese massage nuts, referred to China’s luxury market, which is going through a difficult period.
Jonathan Anderson took over Dior’s women’s, men’s and haute couture collections in June 2025, after transforming Loewe into a global luxury brand.
