David Popovici, national champion in the 50 meter freestyle, setting a new national record

At the National Swimming Championships held in Otopeni, David Popovici won his first title this year, winning the 50-meter freestyle with a record time of 21.83. Patrick Dinu came 2nd with a personal best time of 22.40. Popovici will also compete in 4 other events at the championships, including the 100 and 200 meter freestyle, having already won Olympic titles and medals at the Olympic Games.
