Olympic champion David Popovici will compete for the first time at the U23 EURO in Slovakia from June 26-28, where he is aiming for his first-ever gold medal. He is aiming for excellent performances in the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle events, as well as the 4×100m freestyle relay. After this championship, Popovici will prepare for the World Senior Championships in Singapore, scheduled for July 11 to August 13.
