Kevin Bonaldo, a talented 25-year-old cyclist from the SC Padovani Polo Cherry Bank team, passed away on Friday morning at the hospital in Vicenza, after falling into a coma following a heart attack suffered on September 21, during the Piccola Sanremo competition. Although his condition initially seemed to improve, his health deteriorated suddenly in recent days. Bonaldo's death is a tragic loss for the sport, being the fourth young cyclist to die this year, following the cases of Samuele Privitera, Ivan Meléndez Luque, and Noa Sartis. Last year, cycling was marked by the losses of Muriel Furrer and André Drege, highlighting the risks faced by young athletes.
