Unique case in Romanian Cup Group D. CSM Reșița and Unirea Alba Iulia qualified for the quarterfinals of the Romanian Cup. The two will play for first place in the group after a play-off.

In the last matches, CSM Reșița drew 0-0 at home against Liga 2 leaders Csikszereda Miercurea Ciuc (0-0), while Oțelul failed to beat a Sepsi team full of juniors (0-0).

Unirea Alba-Iulia won 3-1 against CSM Râmnicu Vâlcea and secured their place in the quarterfinals.

The first two teams to qualify for the quarter-finals are now known: Unirea Alba-Iulia (League 3) and CSM Reșița (League 2).

Even if both teams are sure of their place in the quarter-finals, it is not possible to determine which team has won the group and which is in second place. 

In accordance with the rules, if the tie-break cannot be made, it will be decided by a play-off match.
