In the last month, the Csikszereda Miercurea Ciuc team received a second fine from the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) for displaying the symbols of the Szekler Land and for xenophobic chants at SuperLiga matches. The club's president, Zoltán Szondy, expressed dissatisfaction with the frequent fines, with the team accumulating seven penalties this season, totaling over 20,000 euros. Szondy warned that the next fine will be 14,000 euros, and subsequent penalties could lead to the closure of certain sections of the stadium.

Csikszereda, a team funded by the Government of Hungary, was recently fined 25,312.50 lei and 37,968.75 lei for incidents in matches against FC Botoșani and UTA Arad, in accordance with article 54.6 of the FRF regulations, which penalizes discriminatory and xenophobic behaviors. The club will hold a meeting with supporters to discuss these challenges and their impact on the team's identity.
