The tragedy took place at the CrossFit Games, a multi-day event that attracts athletes from around the world who are recognized as some of the fittest people on the planet. The deceased athlete was 28-year-old Lazar Dukic from Serbia. The cause of death is not yet known, the athlete disappeared under water and never surfaced.
