The match between Craiova and Cluj was marked by controversial moments, including a penalty awarded to Craiova after a rebound off the arm of goalkeeper Miguel Silva. Although Cluj had a solid first half, Craiova dominated the second, taking advantage of the visitors' weaknesses. Ioan Ovidiu Sabău's side showed technical quality but looked too relaxed, which led to a less combative attitude. Captain Chipciu called for a more forceful reaction to the slump.
